Winning Against Banks

Here are three commercial finance brokers successfully closed deals that outmaneuvered incumbent banks, offering more tailored solutions to their clients. Here’s a look at how each broker sealed the deal, along with insights from their satisfied customers.

Deal #1: Technology Firm Gets Faster, More Flexible Financing

A growing tech company needed immediate capital to expand its infrastructure but ran into delays with its bank. “We couldn’t wait for weeks of underwriting with our bank,” the CFO explained. “Our broker stepped in, offered flexibility, and closed within days. They really understood our business needs better than the bank could.”

The broker provided a customized loan structure, including a flexible repayment schedule that gave the tech firm the room to grow without straining cash flow, winning the deal against the bank’s slower, rigid terms.

Deal #2: Medical Practice Expansion Made Easy

A medical practice looking to expand its facilities was caught in a long, drawn-out process with its bank, which required extensive documentation and higher deposits. The broker, however, streamlined the financing process with a lease structure for the new equipment and facility improvements.

“The bank kept moving the goalposts, asking for more paperwork, more deposits,” the practice owner said. “The broker made it easy and had options we didn’t even know were available. They really simplified everything and got us what we needed fast.”

Deal #3: Construction Firm Opts for Working Capital with Speed

A construction company was in need of working capital to support new project contracts, but their bank was dragging its feet due to concerns over cash flow volatility. The broker came through with an asset-based lending package that unlocked capital tied up in their equipment and receivables.

“Our bank kept hesitating over the ups and downs of our cash flow,” the company’s CEO shared. “But the broker saw the bigger picture and gave us the funding to keep projects moving forward. Their ability to act quickly made all the difference.”
